Return/Exchange/Refund Policy

 

Online Purchases

I have a seven (7) day return window. After 7 days no returns will be accepted. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be in the original packaging.

Vendor Show Sales

All items purchased at a vendor show are sold as in and come with no warranty. These items are not eligible for a return or refund of any kind.

Customized Items

Any customized item is not eligible for return or a refund due any error made on the customers part.  A customized item is defind as an item where the custom contacted us to make on their behalf (not an item that we usually sell), the item was personalized with the customers own information (names, dates, photos or any custom text that were added or provided by the customer).  The customer is solely responsible for checking for accuracy with all information they provide to Melissa’s Custom Creations. We always recommend double, if not triple, checking any provided information for accuracy. We will make the item with the information provided. For example if you want Megan 2024 added to a item but you provided us with Meghan 2024, then we will put Meghan 2024 on the item.  This would not be a mistake on our part as we added what was requested by the customer.

Items Lost During Shipping

Once an item is our of our hands and has been dropped off at the United States Post Office what happens to it is out of our control. For this reason we highly suggest that you purchase a shipping option that has tracking & insurance, this protection will guarantee that if your item goes missing I’ll be able to resend your order out at no cost to you. If you choose to not select a shipping option with tracking and insurance and the package gets lost in the mail, then you can choose to have me remake and ship it at your cost. I am not responsible for what the United States Postal Service does with your order once it is in their possession.

To Request an Exchange or Refund

You will need to email us by either using our contact form on the CONTACT page or by emailing us directly at [email protected]. Please include your invoice number, a explanation of why you want to return the product and would like to exchange the item for a new one or if you’d like a  refund. Please include any pictures that will help us in this process.

To Return A Product

If it is determined that you are eligible for a refund then I will send you a shipping label (paid for by me), so you can ship the product back to me.  Once your product has been received I will email you and let you know.

Exchanges

Once your returned product has been received I will exchange it for a new one.

Refunds

Once your product has been received I will immediately begin the refund process. You will be refunded to the same payment method you purchased the product with.  Depending on your financial institution, it can take up to 10 business days for you to receive your refund. If after 10 business days you have not received it in your account please check with your bank or credit card company to see if they have received it yet. Often there is a process time that they hold the refund before they post it. If after 10 days you have done this and you still haven’t received it then please contact us at [email protected]
